Review:
It was a gorgeous spring afternoon. The sun was shining, the birds were singing and everyone arrived with their appetites whetted. Our guests were treated to some of the best pairing combinations we have offered to date. Laura's cuisine wowed everyone in attendance, and in some cases made them cry (spicy!). Laura explained to us why the grouper (delicious with our CEV Gewrztraminer) was a beautiful, bright orange colour. I know Caldwell's Grant won some new clients by the end of the day!
And our very own Kevin Donahue (Colio's Vineyard Manager) gave attendees the benefit of his keen nose and expert knowledge of wine and food pairing. We knew it was going well when the second group applauded at the end of the session. Kevin commented afterward, "no applause just money......for the Harley of course".

Wine & Food Pairing featuring cuisine from Caldwell's Grant Restaurant. Join us for a fun and informative session of wine and food sampling. Laura Giberson, (Caldwell's owner and chef) will be with us to talk about their eclectic cuisine. Her first appearance since the arrival of the twins! Samples of each of the following will be paired with Colio wines.

and topped with their homemade dressing.

Florida grouper filet in tandoori sauce.
~ CE Shiraz/Cab 2006 ~
~ Jambalaya ~
Chicken & andouille sausage
in a spicy cajun tomato sauce
tossed with wild rice.
~ CEV Vidal Icewine 2002 ~
~ Mango Sorbet ~
Served chilled.
